Homemade sofrito
2 red peppers
1 white onion
8 cloves of garlic
1/2 bunch of cilantro
A bit of water
Chop all that up and throw it in the blender.
There are many variations to sofrito, so experiment with your favorite flavors. It’s a great base for meat, tofu or beans.
I sauté a couple spoonfuls, then add a can of black or pinto beans with half a can of water, boil for 5 minutes and *chef’s kiss*.
