How do you drink water? Have you gone out since Y2K? I didn’t know that the whole bundle of celery is considered the stalk, and a single piece is called a rib until I did celery research for this issue. Do you also have a mysterious grudge against celery?
You missed a third option:
The person who leaves many cups/mugs in ONE room. [that's me]
And then I have to do my walk of shame into my kitchen with all my not empty treasures.
On a more important note, I think your celery ribs problem is pointing to a far greater and more insidious problem and that is that you're clearly not making enough soup!! No ants on a log, SOUP!! Dump all the ribs in soup.

Dat Y2K trauma, man. There's a documentary called "Time Bomb Y2K" -- have you seen it?
IDK about Chicago, but many places sell celery by the rib/weight! (Assuming it's not sold tied up in a plastic bag)
